Yay - our first day back at our Church for over 18 months.  We have been doing things on-line, and our return was delayed as we had building work done ... a new entrance foyer, refurb of the loos, new office space etc. Here are some photos taken last month if you want to see what I mean

As I have said, I went to Jersey for a weeks holiday - mostly to do with the Occupation during WWII. For those who don't know, Germans landed on The Channel Islands in June 1940, and did not leave until 9th May 1945 (and again, if you don't know, WWII in Europe ended on the 8th ( Read more... )

... as I was driving to the dentist yesterday there were roadworks, everywhere.  So I got stuck ... and stuck ... and stuck.  So I phoned to see if I could get there late (only about 1/4 of an hour), but no good.  So it's re-booked for next week ... I shall leave very, very early ( Read more... )

I can't believe that it's 3 months since I said Goodbye to Jiffy ... I still look for him on my subconscious thoughts. Still, when I got flowers from work for him my first thought was I would ring Mum & Dad and tell them ... yes, those I love are still in my heart & life ( Read more... )

Over the years I always used to go Christmas shopping with Mum & Dad, together in the past years, but in the last couple of years Mum was alive I used to go with them seperately ... however it was always a standing joke that the first time I heard Slade playing in a shop then Christmas had arrived.  It was released in 1973, when I was 12, so a rtue ( Read more... )
